Jerry's Adventure #ChromvilleHalloween

Once upon a time there was an alien named Atari. He wanted to go away from his home planet to find a new world and call it his own. He was bored and tired of his life in his world and wanted to find something new and fun. He snuck out of his house one night while his parents were asleep, and started to run towards the space ship station that was 15 miles away. Atari knew that the space ship station had new space ship that can be taken and flown to places very far away, which was exactly where he wanted to go. He went up to the station and ran around back. He had found the secret door behind the trash can that led to the space ships several days before. He went through the door, and saw the most amazing thing he had ever seen in his life.
He stood there for about five minutes, admiring the one-hundred fifty foot goliath of a space ship in front of him. It had new pure-white metal around the outside that almost hurt your eyes when you looked at it. He approached the mighty ship and soon found the front hatch. He pushed the little green button beside the door and it immediately opened for him. He climbed up the long and slick ladder all the way to the top of the ship. There were little glowing buttons and switches everywhere! He went up and sat down in the big chair and locked in to his seat with his seatbelt. He reached forward and flipped the big green switch that said "ON" underneath it. The ship shook, and it shook, and it shook. It seemed like it would never stop. Then he could feel him being lifted into the air. Atari held tight in his seat, and closed his eyes tightly. Up, up, and away he went, and the ride was very rough until about two minutes later.
Atari unbuckled his seatbelt and stood up, and he realized that there was no gravity. He flew by jumping around the cockpit and hitting the walls but having fun all the same. Then he realized how much he missed home, but he really did want to see something new. He jumped back into his seat, and tried to find a button that would let him control and drive the ship. After a few minutes of brain-hurting searching, he found a button that said "MANUAL DRIVING." He pushed the button and a joystick the size of a pop bottle popped out at him. He took the stick, moved it around a little, and pushed a different button that said "GO" underneath it. He felt a big shake, then he was off. He had been driving for a while when he saw these big brown and gray dots in the distance. As he got closer, he realized that they were asteroids. He knew that he should probably turn around and when he moved the stick, it didn't work. He then went into panic mode. "What do I do?" he thought. He looked beside the seat and there was a big suit that looked like he could fit in it. "It's a space suit," he thought. He put the suit over his clothes and found out that he could probably jump out of the ship to try to go back home, since it still wasn't that far away. He went into the airlock at the bottom of the ship and thought, "I have seen movies about this, I bet I can do it." The airlock depressurized, and he jumped out into space, and just floated there. He started to get pulled by his home planet's gravitational pull, and was pulled back. It was rough going back into the atmosphere, but when he got close enough, he pulled his parachute and landed safely in the middle of the ocean where some people were to meet him because they saw him take off. He was taken back to his parents where they greeted and hugged and kissed him. He then wondered why he had ever left, and that home wasn't such a bad place after all.

Royals Postseason

The Royals this year have played well. Last year they went into the World Series and lost in game seven. This year they are currently in Game 4 of the ALCS, the American League Championship Series, and in other words, the semifinals. They beat the Houston Astros in the first round of the playoffs and are now playing the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS. I hope they are able to get into the World Series and actually win it this year instead of losing in the last game of the World Series. Throughout the whole year they have been winning games and picking up new players to help them out in the postseason. Some of the new players are Johnny Cueto, Ben Zobrist, and Kendrys Morales.

These new players have helped us out a lot in the postseason and during the regular season. Johnny Cueto is a pitcher and either has a really good game or a really bad game. In the postseason, he played one game and totally dominated. He pitched 8 innings and didn't allow Houston to score more than 1 run. In the ALCS, he played and gave up 8 RUNS!!!! He gave up two home runs, six hits, and four walks. The Royals ended up losing 11-8.

Ben Zobrist has helped us out a lot this year too. He has hit many home runs and has a lot of RBIs, or runs batted in. He now plays second base in place of injured Omar Infante. He helps us a lot on defense too, rolling up double plays and catching line drives. Kendrys Morales is another big hitter for the Royals this year. He does not play defense, being the designated hitter. He has been a major help for the Royals and has hit 22 homers this year. Billy Butler left the Royals at the end of last year and was the major RBI person. Many say that Kendrys Morales is the new Blly Butler.

Reflection on Spreadsheets and Charts

I found that making the spreadsheets was really easy. Some people thought the were hard but I didn't think so. I would be able to show someone how to create a spreadsheet and chart because I though they were really easy and easy to make. I would use a spreadsheet to keep track of my points in basketball or in other sports. Sports coaches can use them to keep times of runners or the amount of points their atheletes have.

Hour of Code

Hour of Code

I liked the coding thing because it was fun and pretty easy. I liked how they made the angry bird and the bee concepts. What I didn't like was that it was annoying to watch the videos that Mrs. Wilson just has to make us watch. The coding was fun and easy to learn and play around with. So far I have written 391 lines of code.

What I am Thankful For

What I am Thankful For

I am thankful for having a house and for my family. They all mean a lot to me. Even though sometimes they do get annoying or say hurtful things, but I still love them like they love me too. I am thankful to have money that we can buy food and pay the bills of our house with. I am thankful for my dog that is always by my side when I am mad or sad. I am thankful for everything I own and everyone that loves me.

Cargo Bot

Cargo Bot

Cargo Bot is a challenging app that uses tiles to program a claw that moves colored boxes. It is very hard to me and I can't figure it out as of right now. It is hard to do because the levels are challenging and if you want three stars on a level you have to find the shortest solution to get the boxes in the right spot. I have a hard time figuring out how to control the bot correctly and finding the shortest solution to the level. This picture I am proud of because I got three stars and found one of the shortest solutions.

Hopscotch App

Hopscotch App

Hopscotch is a fun app where you can make games or stories by programming your characters. I had lots of fun using this app. If you were to get this app you can go to the how-to page and there are things that teach you how to make stuff in the app. I like how you you can play other people's games and they are usually fun. I sometimes thought that it was hard and boring but after I figured it out it got fun and easy. If I would give a rating of this app it would be five stars because it is fun and creative.
